Our sole focus is the working aspects of the Patterdale Terriers. as the American Authority of the A. Cocker Bloodlines as they exist in the states. Welcome to "One of One Kennels," where our only drive and focus is to produce exceptional working Patterdale Terriers from tried and proven true working bloodlines. We pay homage to the terrier men on the other Side of the pond and we are committed to preserving this remarkable breed or type, all while curating a unique blend that sets us apart in the world of canine excellence.
Our focus is on digging dogs
Every Digging Dog is a Terrier, but not every Terrier is a digging dog. In fact the over whelming majority of terriers on this planet are not digging quality dogs. For a digging dog is several classes above a terrier in terms of working. We see nothing wrong with people working their dogs above ground if that is how they choose to hunt. For this can be a lot of fun for some people. However if someone is breeding and offering Patterdales to the public they should only do so if they are digging to their Patterdales the way they were meant to be dug to. This is the ONLY way to ensure the proper dogs are bred to and the quality to the breed remains the same. The Patterdale is the world premiere digging dog its job is to locate enter and stay put until it is dug to . And it is supposed to do this job on its own. We have quite a few dogs that have never seen any work above ground because that is not what they are created for. In fact you can bet your bottom dollar that when a man from the UK or Ireland speaks about their Patterdale working they are talking about digging to them, and digging to them alone. It is such an understood fact that they don't have to say the words Digging.
All of our foundation stock is DNA Profiled
We are the first kennel in the history of this breed to DNA Profile ALL of our foundation dogs. No other kennel to this day has done this within this breed. We have also registerd our dogs with all of the main registries. This was done to stop all of the paper hanging that people where doing to try to make profit off of our dogs names. We also did this to help set some people who got taken advantage of by men like C.E. and others who like to lie about paper work. To us registration and papers mean little to nothing. The only thing that matters is the dogs working abilities. Bottom line is you can have a dog with a great pedigree but if that dog doesn't work guess what you got.... A crap dog. you can have your dogs registered with the PTCA, the ADBA, The UKC, and the CKC like all of our dogs but if your dog comes off of a bunch of dogs that were never dug to and made to do the job alone as they were created to do guess what you've got... A dog that comes from crap dogs that is going to produce a higher percentage of crap dogs if you breed it. Again Paper work means nothing in this breed of dog only thing that matters is the dogs working abilities.

Cocker bred dogs
We strongly encourage anyone with interest in this line of dogs to watch our video on these dogs as others are papering Cockers names on dogs at an alarming rate. (We will post a link to our YouTube below.)
We Easily have the broadest gene pool of A.C. (Cocker) bred dogs in the states. In fact we have only found one other person that has the same amount of variety of genetics from this family of dogs in the world. There may be others but we have not met or spoken to them. And thus we would be the main authority of this line of terriers in the states. Like it or not we've hunted and dug to more of them than anyone else in the states. We are the home of Cocker's Mayhem, Medusa, Malichi, and DC. We also own a direct daughter of the great A.C's Blitz AKA Soldier dog named Candy, a daughter of A.C's Rocco named Jezebel, and a son of the great Capone dog named Bronson. This line of dog is well known to be very game very hard and have a great locating ability. This line is originally from England but has long since been moved to Ireland when A.C. relocated. This is a highly sought after line of dogs but very few have it and those who do have a dog or two out of it. There have been reports from A.C. and his friends that people in Ireland recently sent over some dogs that were not from this family or dogs but they sold them to Americans as if they were from this bloodline. Bottom line is you have to be very careful if you are trying to obtain this blood because there is an unreadable amount of paper hanging and lies that come with them. Outside of us the best source to get the blood from is D. Ashlock. as we can assure you his dogs are the real deal as we've done DNA verification for him. There is also another gentleman that has a male direct from AC but any others should be approached very carefully because we are aware of dogs with hung papers. Even the pedigrees in the PTCA registry and the online database are incorrect when it comes to these dogs. For us it doest matter we only care about the dogs working abilities. That being said this is one of our favorite lines which is why we've invested so much into it.
Warren bred dogs
In our experience the warren bred dogs have been AMAZING! They have an incredible amount of drive, and focus on hunting above all other things. The dogs that we have are in bred on the great Warrens Bud and Gamble bitch. Bud is a dog that legends are made of. Great breeders and hunters such as Mr. Edwards co sign this dogs working abilities. It was said he located where others could not and kept his game still no matter what. This blood is even more uncommon then the AC blood mentioned above. In fact we are the only ones in the states with it from our understanding. This blood has crossed very very well with our AC dogs And we have had a blast working behind these intense workers. Our dog Orus is very heavy in this blood, with a small dash of Schwab blood and our dog baby also carries some of it as well as schwa blood which helps tie in everything
Ch Edwards/Booth's Clint Hall of Fame
Clint is hands down one of the best and well know producers in the world. Clint is a cross of Schwab blood (which is a blend fo Pickaxe blood and Nuttall blood.) and old Booth blood. There are others in the states that have dogs down from him such as C.K. and others. We've had great success crossing clint to our cocker bitches and we've also made breedings with him that were hand selected by R. Booth himself. This blood solidifies the crosses that we have. And add even more power to the stacked deck we are lucky enough to call our kennel.
